Tier 3 Certification
This training consists of a 150 hour module offered as a distance learning programme supervised via the Internet (where appropriate hours undertaken as part of Tier 1/Tier 2 training would be deducted from the total hours of the module).
Other module content would include the theoretical and practical aspects of working with families (e.g. child psychology, family, marriage and personal development, dysfunctional families, substance misuse, violence and aggression, legal and ethical issues etc).
TOFT training ("Trainer of Facilitators" Training) could be a component of Tier 3 training, but can be undertaken separately. Depending on prior learning and individual learning outcomes, the module could be offered at undergraduate or postgraduate levels.
It would be possible to combine the completed module with others to make up a certificate, diploma, degree, or masters level qualifications through Oxford Brookes University (or elsewhere via the Credit Accumulation and Transfer system).
